The list is not exhaustive but really all of the above are just labels. Names that we give to try and explain what a problem is, but which actually tell us very little.
Ten people could all come to therapy with anxiety, but it will manifest itself in a different way for each of them. And likewise each person with a phobia will have had a different event that initially triggered their problem, and they will each experience the problem in a different way.
This is because no two people are the same and no two people have had the same life experiences. So from a therapeutic viewpoint, labels are of no help at all. This is why, to be effective, any type of therapy needs to treat each person as the unique and wonderful human being they are.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is concerned with the whole person and not the label. We all have an inner wisdom that, tapped into, helps us find the answers we seek.
