Cognitive hypnotherapy and Somatic EMDR therapy in East Norfolk/Suffolk.

Maybe you feel there’s something stopping you from being the way you want to be, or keeping you trapped in old habits or patterns? Or do you wish you could find freedom from past hurt or trauma, or distressing thoughts and memories? Or does it feel like something is holding you back from the life you’d rather be living?

Whatever it is that brought you to this page you don’t have to carry it alone.

I’m Jill, and for over 20 years I’ve been working with people who are ready to make real lasting change. My approach is friendly, holistic and completely personal to you, because I truly believe that the only expert on you is you. My job is not to fix you, far from it in fact, because I don’t believe you’re broken, rather my role is to help you access all the wisdom and resources you have within. And from there healing becomes easier than you probably would have believed possible.

I work integratively, drawing on techniques from Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Somatic EMDR, two powerful, evidence-based approaches that work with both body and mind to help you process and heal from whatever’s been getting in the way of your happiness and well-being.

Effective as these two approaches are in their own right, they compliment each other beautifully, and together they offer something truly integrative. Cognitive Hypnotherapy works with the unconscious mind, gently re-framing the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that keep us stuck. Somatic EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) works with the body as well as the mind, helping to process and release traumatic memories that have become trapped in the nervous system.

Weaving these two therapies together in a seamless fashion allows us to work in a more holistic way, honouring mind, body and experience and creating the perfect space for deep lasting change.

Of course it’s completely possible to use just one of these approaches as a stand alone method if that’s what you prefer. You will always take the lead in the direction therapy takes.

Whether you’re living with the effects of trauma (including PTSD and C-PTSD), anxiety, depression, negative self talk, or unhelpful patterns that just won’t stop repeating, we’ll work together at your own pace, in a way that feels safe and comfortable for you.

No two people are the same and no two journeys through therapy are the same either. What truly matters is you, not a label not a diagnosis, but your unique experience and what you need to help you move through it.

If you think I might be able to help, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. We can have a chat, no pressure, no obligations.
